As a birth doula serving Durham Region, York Region, and Toronto, I help you feel informed, confident, and supported throughout your birthing experience. This can include prenatal education, comfort measures during labour, advocacy support, and reassurance for both you and your partner.

Most families hire a birth doula between 12–24 weeks of pregnancy, but it’s never too early (or too late) to reach out. Hiring earlier allows more time for prenatal support, education, and building a trusting relationship before labour begins.

Yes. I support families planning hospital births, home births, and birth centre births. My role is to support you and your preferences, wherever you choose to give birth.

I provide in-person doula support throughout Durham Region, York Region, and the City of Toronto.
I also offer virtual birth doula support, allowing me to work with families anywhere in Canada and beyond.

A midwife or doctor is responsible for your medical care and clinical decision-making. A doula does not provide medical care. Instead, a doula focuses on emotional support, comfort measures, education, and continuous presence — something medical providers often cannot offer due to clinical responsibilities.

Not at all. Doulas support the whole birth team, including partners. I guide partners on how to help, offer suggestions during labour, and step in when they need rest — never replacing them, but strengthening their role.

Absolutely. Doulas support all types of births, including medicated births, planned or unplanned C-sections, and VBACs. Support looks different in every scenario, but continuous presence and advocacy are always valuable.

Yes. Doula support is supported by extensive research showing improved birth outcomes, including shorter labours, reduced interventions, and higher satisfaction with the birth experience.
